WEIGHT OF FABRICS AND GARMENTS
The new RRD winter collection is built around a clear goal: lightening textile structures by reducing the weight of each fabric layer while preserving performance.
Through the introduction of ultra–light 3-layer constructions, each material has been optimized to deliver maximum efficiency with minimum weight. The result is an evolution of high-performing textiles in which membranes, backings and outer surfaces act as a single, elastic and reactive body. Innovation unfolds in three key directions:
• Real reduction of mass without loss of structure
The new weights eliminate stiffness and bulk while maintaining the same mechanical strength and the same level of protection against cold, wind and water.
• Greater freedom of movement
Lighter fabrics interact with the body more naturally, following movement and adapting without losing structure. Each garment becomes more functional, more dynamic and more comfortable.
• Enhanced thermal efficiency and protection
The optimization of layers ensures more precise control of the internal microclimate. Less weight does not mean less protection, but a smarter form of protection.
HAND FEEL
EVOLUTION OF TACTILE SENSATION
In the new collection, we have strengthened the concept of “hand feel,” by refining yarn structures and finishing techniques to achieve a softer, more uniform and instantly comfortable tactile experience. The research focuses on three essential aspects:
• Finer, more compact yarns
Selected fibres with reduced counts and high elasticity.
• Next–generation soft-touch finishes
Processes that align the appearance and hand of technical fabrics with those of natural materials.
• Long-lasting comfort stability
New constructions that maintain softness and cohesion even after mechanical stress and extended washing.
The result is a textile system that is both sensory and technical: materials offering improved tactile perception while enhancing freedom of movement, visual cleanliness and perceived garment quality. A hand feel that is not only softness, but function, response and performance.
WOMAN FABRIC
MATERIALS DESIGNED FOR WOMAN UNIVERSE
The new collection introduces materials developed exclusively for the womenswear line, with special attention to fibres, weights and bonding techniques. Yarn selection favours finer counts and greater twist regularity, ensuring compact surfaces, controlled hand feel and a more homogeneous elastic response.
• Greater freedom of movement
Lighter fabrics interact with the body more naturally, following movement and adapting without losing structure. Each garment becomes more functional, more dynamic and more comfortable.
ECOFUR / ECOLEATHER / ECOSUEDE
We have introduced materials such as eco-fur, eco-leather and eco-suede—functional textiles with a refined aesthetic attitude.
Eco-fur is applied to hood trims, collars and selected interiors: the choice of high-quality faux fur adds value and femininity to the garments.
Eco-leather, created by bonding two polyurethane layers with leather-like texture to a jersey base, is used to redefine classic garments through highly technical construction processes.
Eco-suede, with its unmistakable and exceptionally pleasant hand feel, completes the offer.
The result is a high-performance, minimalistic women’s selection: an evolution fully aligned with the RRD vision, merging functionality, comfort and elegance.
NATURAL FABRIC
EVOLUTION OF THE MATERIAL STRUCTURE
The new collection structurally expands the use of natural textiles, integrating selected cottons and wools chosen for count, compactness and surface regularity
New technical fabrics with a cotton-like appearance have also been introduced, developed with synthetic yarns and specific finishing processes that replicate the perception of natural materials while maintaining performance, typical of technical fabrics.
The outcome is a wider, more versatile material structure: garments that preserve the RRD technological DNA while adding a more natural, soft and everyday tactile dimension—delivering perceptible comfort and consistent long-term performance.
LGL
LASER GLUE LOCK TECHNOLOGY
RRD strengthens an evolutionary construction approach: bonding materials without stitching. With LGL, glue bonding and laser cutting replace traditional seams, creating linear, minimal and continuous structures. This process is applied to trousers, overshirts, jackets and accessories, where every junction becomes an integral part of the material itself.
KNITWEAR
NEW STRUCTURES, NEW SENSATIONS
RRD knitwear evolves following a precise principle: transforming traditional materials into technical surfaces – more functional and contemporary. Iconic knit stitches have been reinterpreted through processes that increase comfort and durability.
From Techno Wash Velvet to Velvet Chenille down jackets, from technical cashmere/wool blends to Alpaca variants, each yarn has been redesigned to offer volume, tactility and uncompromised performance.
Noble fibres – Alpaca, wool and cashmere – add softness, allow visual cleanliness and a contemporary appeal aligned with RRD’s techno–minimal aesthetic.
NEW ACCESSORIES
MICRO-DETAILS, MAXIMUM IMPACT
The evolution of RRD garments also includes a new generation of accessories: more functional, cleaner components aligned with our techno–minimal aesthetic. Every element—from the “oval” nail button to the “bar” rivets, from the “easy open” zips to the new WOM hangers and labels—has been redesigned to enhance recognizability and style.
• The double “easy open” slider allows smooth, fast openings in both directions.
• The new WOM hangers add greater elegance and femininity.
• The “oval” and “bar” nail buttons define an innovative, contemporary visual language, characterized by minimal geometries and precise surfaces.
The new WOM logo label introduces a subtle yet immediate distinctive sign—not just a mark, but an integrated design detail.
NEW MEN’S FIT
EVOLVED PROPORTIONS, MORE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
The menswear line introduces a fully updated fit system designed to improve comfort and functionality. Trousers are redefined through three hem widths—20, 22 and 25 cm—and different constructions: flat-front, single-pleat, double-pleat, chino, cargo and 5-pocket.
Knitwear, fleece, shirts and T-shirts adopt a relaxed approach conceived to ensure greater wearability and comfort.
